A game to let your drives burn your soul or —alternatively— burn the world

The Gold Hack is a hack of The Burning Wheel RPG, by Luke Crane. It takes ideas from other BWHQ games to simplify the system, trying very hard to bring the same themes into play: the burning passion, the tragedy, the comedy, the fantasy.

You won’t need to use or know any BWHQ game to enjoy this hack. Still, you’ll still find it useful to be familiar with at least one of them (The Burning Wheel, Burning Empires, Mouse Guard or Torchbearer) to extract every inch of fun this hack can offer.

This document won't teach you how to play RPGs. It assumes you already played some, and know, for example, what a GM is, or why she is not called a "player" although of course she plays the game like everybody else, or why the first step to play the game is creating characters.

El Hack Dorado es un hack de The Burning Wheel RPG, por Luke Crane. Toma ideas de otros juegos del BWHQ para simplificar el sistema, esforzándose mucho por traer el mismo espíritu al juego: la pasión ardiente, la tragedia, la comedia, la fantasía.

No vas a necesitar usar o conocer ningún juego del BWHQ para disfrutar este hack. Igual, te va a ser útil ser familiar con al menos uno de ellos (The Burning Wheel, Burning Empires, Mouse Guard (está en castellano) o Torchbearer) para extraer cada gota de disfrute que este hack puede ofrecer.

Este documento no te enseña cómo jugar juegos de rol. Asume que ya jugaste alguno, y conocés, por ejemplo, qué es un GM, o por qué no es llamada "jugadora" a pesar de que por supuesto que juega como cualquier otra participante, o por qué el primer paso para jugar es crear personajes.
